Attendance Highlights Southern Farm Show in Raleigh →

The Southern Farm Show was held Feb. 2 to 4 at the N.C. State Fairgrounds in Raleigh. With the forced cancellation of the show in 2021, the 2022 show was a strong event with good attendance. Among the 400 exhibitors were a robust number of construction equipment dealers and manufacturers. JCB brought along the world's fastest backhoe for show visitors to enjoy. Carbon Robotics, an agricultural robotics company, unveiled its 2022 LaserWeeder implement, an autonomous, laserweeding pull-behind robot that seamlessly attaches to the back of tractors. The new LaserWeeder is a precise, organic and cost-effective weed control solution for large-scale specialty row crops, according to the manufacturer. U.S. Tractor, Combine Sales Continue Growth →

Growth in both ag tractors and combine harvesters continues in the United States, while a slowdown in harvesters in Canada brings overall unit sales slightly below 2020 north of the border, according to the latest data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). U.S. total farm tractor sales climbed a healthy 8.7 percent in November compared to 2020, while U.S. self-propelled combine sales saw a gain of 37.8 percent, the fourth month in a row of growth near or above 20 percent for harvesters.  Click for more...
