When it came time to replace his old Bobcat skid steer, he purchased a 56-hp (41.8 kW) turbocharged Bobcat S185 skid steer loader with a 1,850-lb. (839 kg) rated operating capacity. (908 kg) SAE-rated operating capacity, a bucket breakout force of 4,300 lbs. (1,950 kg) and an operating weight of 6,230 lbs. The latest project is the Birdneck Road widening project in Virginia Beach, Va. The Virginia Beach-based firm was awarded a $27.9 million contract to widen the two-lane road into a four-lane divided road.
