JCB Launches New Generation Skid Steers, Compact Track Loaders →

From Construction Equipment Guide... JCB hosted North American dealers and both U.S. and international press Nov. 5 at the launch of its new line of skid steer loaders and compact track loaders. The company invested 40 million dollars into these products, which are “representative of one year of thinking and two years in the making,” according to the manufacturer. Case Launches Four New Backhoes →

From Construction Equipment Guide... Case Construction Equipment Sept. 22 launched a complete update of its loader/backhoe product line, introducing four new N Series loader/backhoe models. The event took place at the company’s Tomahawk Customer Center in Tomahawk, Wis. The new Case 580N, 580 Super N, 580 Super N Wide Track and 590 Super N backhoes replace the company’s M Series 3 product line. Jersey’s J.H. Reid Purchases IT4-Certified Wheel Loader →

From Construction Equipment Guide... New Jersey contracting firm J.H. Reid wanted a wheel loader that would allow it to work in Brooklyn, N.Y., under current and future emissions rules. John Deere responded and offered the firm a solution: the new 304-hp (226 kW) 744K 4WD loader, the construction industry’s first IT4-certified iron over 175 hp (130 kW). Reid took delivery in late August and immediately put the loader to work on a $125-million pre-cast bridge job for the New Jersey DOT in Highlands.  Click for more...

Helena Roadway Project Gets Good Start →

Just a few months ago, Jason Fenhaus walked up and down Cedar Street in Helena, Mont., visiting the businesses that would be affected by the roadway improvement contract awarded to his employer, Helena Sand & Gravel. The $2.3-million project widens Cedar Street from Montana Avenue to Interstate 15, increasing the roadway from three lanes to five. It is the first phase of the three-part Custer Interchange project, originally recommended by city and county officials more than seven years ago to address increasing traffic volumes on 40-year-old local routes.  Click for more...

(301 kg) without a bucket, its compact size allows operators to easily move the unit around the job site and provides a maximum digging depth of 8 ft., 5 in. (2.6 m). The full 180-degree dual-cylinder swing rotation provides equal power in both directions. A 10-ft., 7-in.
