Instructor Bejie Herrin has added a Caterpillar 257B multi-terrain loader to the one-year-old program’s fleet, purchased from Yancey Bros. Co. Approximately 20 students are currently enrolled in the program at the Paulding County campus. The $998 million, 2.2-million-sq.-ft. (204,387 sq m) steel and concrete facility will include 82,000 seats and 217 luxury suites for New York Giants and Jets fans. When it came time to replace his old Bobcat skid steer, he purchased a 56-hp (41.8 kW) turbocharged Bobcat S185 skid steer loader with a 1,850-lb. (839 kg) rated operating capacity. Southern California Faces Long Road Ahead →

From Construction Equipment Guide... Though wildfires that engulfed approximately 370,000 acres in southern California have been contained, there is still a major challenge ahead — cleanup. To start the process, a $30 million debris removal program has been launched by San Diego County officials to remove the remains of more than 1,800 buildings that were destroyed or damaged. The California State Office of Emergency Services is funding $23 million of those debris removal costs, while the San Diego County Board of Supervisors is funding the other $7 million.  Click for more...
