Gov. Edwards Announces Expansion of John Deere Thibodaux Plant →

Deere & Company, the global corporation that manufactures the John Deere brand of agricultural, construction and forestry equipment, is investing $29.8 million to expand operations at its Thibodaux facility. The company will create 70 new direct jobs with an average annual salary of $47,472, and will retain 311 existing jobs in Louisiana, including 284 jobs at the Lafourche Parish facility. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will result in 110 new indirect jobs, for a total of 180 new jobs in the Bayou Region.  Click for more...

Deere & Company announced a strategic partnership with Iowa State University (ISU) to establish a demonstration site consisting of eight different fields and processes that will enable Deere to test sustainable solutions for large grain production systems in real-world scenarios. Combine Sales Continue to Grow in August, Tractors Mixed →

Combine sales grew for August in both the United States and Canada, while total tractors fell in the United States, but grew in Canada according to the latest data from the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM). Total U.S. ag equipment unit sales rose above the 5-year average for the first time since April 2022.
